All players no matter how good they are from beginner to the worlds best professional player will undoubtedly experience bad beats and one thing is certain each bad beat you receive will not be the last one, this is part of playing poker and is partly what makes the game exciting and thrilling to play and to watch,a bad beat or a string of close bad beats can often cause a player some times even at highest level to what's is know as tilt or tilting.
When on Tilt
When on tilt a player will make plays he or she would not normally make, often the player will move all in with a really bad hand often containing one high card in the hope of getting lucky, and more often than not the affect of losing a bad beat or consecutive bad beats is instant tilt and instant an all in move the following hand more often than not causing total chip stack loss and elimination from the cash table or tournament.
Emotional Control
There is only one way to avoid going on tilt and that is to control your emotion and to find an outlet for the frustration you are feeling, very few players can switch of there emotion and move on, those that do would often be considered great players at any level of stakes played for.
Tilt Stories
It makes no difference if you play online of offline you will here stories from players about there bad beats, my personal point of view i don't tell them and i tend not to listen to them, once a hand has been played the hand is over and i move to the next hand even if i lost the hand to a bad beat (that hand is now dead for me), a real bad beat no future information on how the hand may have played can be drawn from, often the hand is played perfectly and lost through players winning the hand through having minimal outs and catching there card or cards on the turn or river combined or river card.
